Noted for “The Monkey Enclosure” plus the children’s play area, concerts and picnics.  Conveniently situated directly across the road.

Ideal play area for children, a short drive will take you there.  Ideal for family fun and picnics.  5-10 minute drive.
 

Beaconsfield Gold MineI

Interesting and informative – tours can be arranged.  Situated on the West Tamar Highway.  15-20 minutes drive through our wine area.
 

 

Aurora Stadium

5 minute walk will take you to the venue. Very popular for AFL – many other sports and concerts.  Leave your car here and walk leisurely to the game or concert.
 

 

Grindelwald

Will give you mini-golf, plus a 9 hole golf course, ideally situated in a Swiss Village.  Close by - 10-15 minute drive will take you to this very charming and interesting village.
 

 

Woolmers

Famous for it’s magnificent Rose Garden.  Situated in the countryside about 20-30 minutes drive - morning/afternoon tea's available.


 

 

Evandale (Clarendon Arms Hotel)

Penny Farthing races plus a large market on Sundays.
Very popular for the Sunday Market plus various events - 15-20 minutes drive from Launceston. 

 

Aquatic Centre

Just across the road – wonderful for young and old alike.  Take a dip - take tea/coffee or a light meal.  Very central and enjoyable.  The kids will love it.
 

 

Art Galleries / Museums

Two sections available in Wellington Street plus Esk Museums in Invermay Road.  Wellington Street - 5-10 minutes walk.  Inverymay - 5-10 minutes walk.  Open most days of the week.  Constantly changing with various displays.
 

 

 Monkey Enclosure

Across the road in City Park, Exciting to their antics as they play.  Directly in front - situated in the City Park.  Delightful to watch the Monkey's at play.

 

Tulip Fields

Situated at Wynyard on the North West coast – worth a trip to see fields in bloom September/October.  Stanley is approximately a 3 hour drive through several coastal towns of interest.  Penguin Market on a Sunday - is worth a visit.
 

 

Boags Brewery

Within walking distance. Tours can be arranged.  A very interesting tour for one and all.  Purchases may be made at their display shop.
 

 
 

Old Mac’s 

Farm and Fishing – for trout, paddle and canoe hire, in season strawberries and raspberries.  Only 5 - 10 minutes drive and the children will enjoy the animals.

 

 

National Automobile Museum of Tasmania

Across the park. Experience one of Australia’s  most significant motoring collections.  Constantly changing their display of vehicles - definately worth a visit.
