BOOKING & CHECK-IN

When do I have to pay a deposit?
In order to secure your reservation, all accommodation charges are payable at the time the reservation is made. Parklane Motel accepts Visacard, Mastercard & Eftpos. This property does not accept payments with American Express & Diners Club credit cards.
Is there a Shuttle Bus Service to & from Launceston Airport?
Wild Island Adventure Hire & Transport operates a shuttle bus service from Launceston Airport directly to our front door at a reasonable fee. For bookings and further information please phone Wild Island Adventures on 0484 325 210.
Is Late Check-Out / Early Check-In Available?

Late check-out / Early check-in is subject to availability, and is NOT available during peak seasons or high occupancy periods. Late check-out / Early check-in, if available, will incur additional fees being charged.

If you wish to leave your luggage with us after check-out, we are more than happy to store it for you free of charge. Should you wish to DEPART EARLY before our office opens, we request that you place the keys in the box which is located just at the bottom of the Reception door or leave the keys inside the room, close windows & lock the door upon your departure.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Low Season: Cancellations advised outside 72 Hrs. prior to check-in date (i.e.. Before 2.00 pm 3 days prior to arrival) are fully refundable less a $30.00 per room Cancellation Fee. Cancellations advised inside 72 Hrs prior to check-in date are Non-Refundable unless the room is re-let for the total period of the original booking. An administration fee of $30.00 per room will be deducted before the remaining balance is refunded.

High Season: Cancellations advised outside 14 days prior to check-in date are fully refundable less a $30.00 per room Cancellation Fee. Cancellations advised inside 14 days prior to check-in date are Non-Refundable unless the room is re-let for the total period of the original booking. An administration fee of $30.00 per room will be deducted before the remaining balance is refunded. The Administration Fee covers the cost of processing the booking, cancelling the booking and bank fees.

Do you require a Security Bond upon Check-In?
Parklane Motel requires a valid photo ID, along with a credit card authorisation (pre-auth) of $100 AUD at the time of check-in. This may be used to cover any additional costs incurred during the guest’s stay, including, but not limited to, any breakages, damage or additional cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning, extra guests and or extra bedding used beyond that declared on the original booking.

The pre-authorisation will affect your available funds balance and spending limit. For more information on this practice, we suggest the cardholder contact their card issuer. A pre-authorisation may be held by your bank for up to 5 – 7 working days after your check-out date. Where a credit card is not available, a minimum $100 AUD cash deposit will be required. Upon departure, your room will be inspected by a staff member before the authorisation of the return of monies.

Can I make a reservation if I am under 18 Yrs?

We wish to advise that we DO NOT accept any bookings of persons who are under the age of 18 years. ALL guests under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an individual whom we consider to be a responsible person. We have the right to refuse any booking when the legal guardian or responsible person cannot provide a current Photo ID.

What are your Reception hours?

We are open Monday – Sunday from 8:00am – 6:00pm 

What time is Check-in & Check-out?

Check-In: 14:00 – 18:00
Check-Out: 08:00 – 10:00

Is after hours Check-in available?

Guests arriving after 5:00pm MUST contact the property on the day of their arrival for instruction on motel’s after-hours check-in procedures. Guest MUST check-in with reception staff the following morning & complete registration details.

Unfortunately due to Health Regulations pets are not allowed, however, service dogs are exempt.

What public transport is available?
  • TIGER tourist bus operates Monday to Friday and stops at Princes Square on Elizabeth Street. It is a hop-on-hop-off service that will take you to all of the major tourist destinations around town.
  • Metro is Launceston’s major city and suburban public transport provider.
